=He bought a new car for himself.

He gave his son his used car. 他把舊車給了兒子。

=He gave his used car to his son.

May I ask you a question? 我可以問你一個問題嗎？

=May I ask question of you?

I asked her some questions. 我問了她幾個問題。

=I ask some questions of her.

The medicine will do you good. 這個藥對你有好處。

=The medicine will do good to you.

Drinking too much does you harm. 喝太多酒會傷身。

=Drinkink too march does harm to you.

His father left him a large fortune. 他的父親留給他一大筆財富。
